Chateau Montagne Hotel Troyan

Seemed like we were the only guests at that time, yet they started the steam bath and the sauna for us. All from the personal were very welcoming.
Restaurant and kitchen also ran for us - food was exceptionally good. Salad and everything else was fresh. We wished we would have stayed for longer and have taken advantage of the fitness, billiard and other facilities.

Excellent hotel with excellent restaurant. Large rooms with shower in bathroom. Large outdoor pool, as well as steam room and warm indoor pool. Swings and trampoline for kids. On site restaurant serves local food and wines. Good breakfast.

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I did not expect much, however we were met with a lot of hospitality by the staff. I booked a romantic package which included shampagne and candy in the room, room service for breakfast and a romantic dinner. The candy was not from the expensive kinds but it was one of the good ones. We enjoyed it. Everything we tried at the restaurant was very tasty although I would recommend more options in the menu. The dinner that was included was very good as well and it came with a bottle of wine which I liked. The room was spacious and comfy. The bathroom was clean and also big. The pool was nice too and the bar served very good mohitos. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone who is searching for a good place to get away from the city. 

We recently stayed overnight here while traveling from Varna to Sofia.  We really enjoyed our visit here.  The rooms are comfortablely appointed.  My room had two twin beds with comfortable mattresses, a desk, mini fridge, two casual chairs and a small round table.  I loved the wall paper, curtains and furniture.  It made you think you were staying at a French Chateau.  I didn't use the pool but it looked very nice.

We had dinner and it was excellent (probably the best of my trip!) The breakfast was Ok.  The service was good.

My only complaint is the old fashion keys were difficult.

I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The place is perfectly located, and the beds are really confortable. The stuff was polite and helpful. However, the breakfast could actually be better, very simple. Anyway it is a good option for Troyan. 

It is not excellent but it is not too bad. Friendly staff. The hotel was well decorated. The plus was their hot indoor pool and sauna. The room was little bit dark and small, but well cleaned. Restaurant looked good, but they have to change the menu.

Stopped here for one night, had a late dinner by the pool. The food was great and better than expected. This was because everything was from farms nearby. Tomatoes were bright red and the mushrooms are from a forest nearby. The yogurt and milk is fresh.

One night stay, excellent restaurant 

The hotel looks good from the outside. Upon arriving we were met by a not very welcoming person at reception though they checked us in an hour earlier. The room was good in size and clean but seemed a little worn out. The bathroom was clean. The A/C unit in the room was very noisy and my husband found it hard to get some sleep. The bed was comfortable.  Breakfast was very good offering Bulgarian breakfast too. Coffee could have been better.
The hotel has a surprisingly good restaurant. It is tastefully decorated and spacious enough to ensure privacy of its guests. Food is delicious, service - fast and efficient. It is more expensive compared to other restaurants in the area, but still not overpriced.

Average place to stay

We booked 2 double rooms for three nights but left after the first one as the facilities of this place do not correspond to what is advertised. The pool is small and not very clean, sauna was small, rooms were really tiny, there was mold in the bathroom. Location - close to city centre but parking was too small for all cars of the guests. Food in the restaurant was good, probably the only positive thing about this place.

Not recommended

they gave us a small room with old dirty carpet, not more that 12 qm and we were with a baby - no place for anything in the room , two days it was a complete nightmare! they didn't want to give us bigger room and said, they should have known earlier - we made our booking three weeks ago and they knew, that we are with a baby! disaster!
