Our room was delightful and included an upper balcony looking onto the lake.  So picturesque. Danielle was warm and welcoming and the food was prepared with attention to detail.  It was a very romantic time and even walking on the beach was perfect.  We loved our stay and would go back again without question.

Loved the house and location!

It is a beautiful place to stay at with the most welcoming host you can imagine. Danielle's breakfasts are delicious and her rooms are gorgeous, we stayed at the Serenity room. She will give you recommendations where to eat and go and is an interesting conversation partner. It is hard to describe the experience without using superlative nouns. If you think whether you should stay here or not, the answer is definitive yes.

Best stay ever

On arrival Danielle greeted us and showed us round her lovely home and took us to our room, the Adani room - simply beautiful with it's own balcony overlooking the sandy beach and lake. She made us hot drinks and gave us fresh fruit to nibble while we admired the view from her back verandah. The room and bathroom are fitted to the highest possible standard and scrupulously clean. Listening to the waves lapping on the beach at night as we lay in bed was a highlight of our holiday.  Danielle is a charming hostess and we were offered a choice of sweet or savoury food for our breakfast. The savoury that we opted for was delicious. There are several eateries close by but sadly none were open for us as it was Labor Day so we ate at the local Best Western Hotel which was welcoming but unexceptional.

Stunning beach location

Finding the resort is a little tricky as signage is lacking from the road side.  But once your here the setting can be described as nothing short of picturesque.  Host greeted us at the door and was friendly and informative.  Interior is newly renovated with an open concept. Bathrooms are large and contain some toiletries.   A few hidden costs that we weren't Informed about when we booked.  Nothing major $3 for towel service.  But wish we had known before we booked.  Would have packed my own.  Beds are comfortable and newer.  No TVs in room not a deal breaker just inconvenient.

We called the owner two days before arrival stating we would be leaving toronto in the evening and arriving late, we arrived at 11 pm, the hotel was dark and closed, we were calling from  outside for about 1.5 hours and also had the best western across the street call her nobody picked up. she had about 20 missed calls. We ended up checking into another hotel, and we were also not able to check in for our second night as she would not pick up our phone calls. We lost 360 dollars and a lot  of sleep. She wrote us a rude email saying she takes sleeping pills and was sounds asleep.
