Super 8 Hotel Xinjiang Kashi L 

I have no idea why previous reviewers say this is an old hotel, tired and worn at the edges! This is a magical hotel right in the centre of ancient Kashgar down a timeless alley full of local craftsmen. The price is the best in the area and if you ask for a front facing room on the second floor, you can watch the Uyghur world of mud houses, arches, and local life go by beneath you. The rooms have everything you could need. They are large, spotless, modern, with clean bright sheets. All the shampoo and soap you could need, airy and quiet. Our £11 room had a massive double bed and a separate room with a sofa! F you pay online breakfast is thrown in, otherwise they do a deal for £3.50 or you can grab a hot Nan bread from the local bakers and eat it with local honey in your room. The hotel is perfectly suited ten minutes walk from the exotic Sunday market and Mao Tse Tung People's Park, the same from the lively night market and central Id Kah Square, famous ice cream shops and 100 year old tea house, and a wonderful place to explore the labarynthyne Old City. There's even air conditioning in summer and warm snug rooms in winter.
