Saimaa Camp Hostel

Our accommodation was in a former village school building, so the room was enormous - an entire classroom. Some of the school history was showing, like a black board on the wall, adding to the charm. Large, well-equipped modern kitchen located on the same floor. Sauna in the basement and just a few steps from the lake, where also rowing boats were available. A lot to do in case of rainy days - large selection of books, ping-pong table or an entire gym (as in "real school gym") to keep you busy - though in our case, the weather was perfect, so our entertainment was outdoor grilling, as it should be. As we had the entire building just for ourselves during our visit, it was also very quiet and calm - might be a bit different when all rooms are full, but we were lucky. There is also another building where the accommodation setup might be different.
