Perfect surroundings for a relaxing stay in the pays de cathare. From the idyllic entrance, the welcoming staff in the front courtyard, the cosy room, and the pool in partial shade some of the day, this is a highly recommendable place to spend a few (or more) days. Breakfast was served in the courtyard and consisted of a perfect combination of yoghurt, bread, cold cuts, cheeses and fruit. The bed was very good and our room was perfectly situated at the end of the house with the reception with a private partially secluded patio. We left the Chateau Le Vergel Authenac feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready for the more crowded towns.
