What a beautiful comfortable welcoming place to stay! We couldn't have been made to feel more at home. The apartment was immaculate and supremely comfortable and had everything you could need and more. Carole was an impecable host and for us - being able to book her to cook for us (which we did in the end on 3 occasions) was a fantastic treat. Delicious home-cooked food! We all loved the hot-tub under the stars too after a long day skiing. Fabulous place. We will definitely be back. Thank you Carole!

The apartments are in a quiet location, with extensive grounds. The BBQ and decking area that surrounds the pool is brand new, as was the hot tub - apparently we were the first to use it.

The bedrooms were all large, with enough room for a cot in each, and the cot and high chair provided were of a good standard. 
 
Carole was a brilliant host: very friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. She works very hard to keep the property in great condition, for example, while we were there we saw her planting new shrubs, riding around on the lawn mower, sewing grass seeds, planting vegetables, fixing a fence, installing a new swimming pool cover... 

We used the apartment on a self catering basis, but she cooked for us one evening, which was excellent, and was accompanied by salad grown in the garden outside. Salad that guests can pick themselves as and when they need it.

The only consideration is for tall people. At 6'2" I banged my head several times in the kitchen. It wasn't a problem for me, but if I was any taller I'd probably want to stick a cushion to my head. Also, the steps up to the living area in 1 of the apartments are open, and I'd be nervous if we had a more mobile toddler with us, although Carole did provide a baby gate, so access to the stairs can be managed. 

The location is perfect for the ski resorts nearby, La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand, and for cycling up the local Cols - Le Tour often passes by or finishes near here. Annecy is only a short distance away too.

All in all a great stay.

We booked last minute and got a really good deal considering this is a luxury chalet. We were expecting to share our chalet with others but had a 4 bedroom duplex to ourselves. There was another english family in the other duplex so we ate with them and carols family in the main dining room, which was nice. This is perfect if you like the social catered dinners with others but also like your own space.

It really was a excellent place to stay. We all very much enjoyed it. The food was excellent and the rooms were very clean and spacious. We will definately be back! Thanks you Carole for being so wonderful .... nothing was too much trouble.

I stayed here with my 2 teenage sons for 4 nights in March 2012.  Carole picked us up from the airport and then continued to transport us around at our whim for the duration of our stay.  The food was excellent as was the wine selection (pay for what you drink).  The 2 apartments are self contained each with 3 excellent large en suite rooms together with a large lounge and kitchen.  Fresh continental breakfasts were always waiting for us in our kitchen each morning.  Excellent evening meals were taken downstairs with all other guests and were tailored to guest's likes and dislikes and were of a very high standard.  The apartments are around 10 minutes away from the ski resorts of Le Grand Bornand and Le Clusaz.  Le Grand Bornand has great skiing and is usually quiet as the main UK tour operators haven't found it yet. We would phone Carole as we got on the bubble down to the village and she would be waiting to take us & all our gear home by the time we got there!  The on site sauna and whirlpool is a great way to end the day. The apartments are very quiet (virtually in the middle of nowhere!) which is very relaxing.  I have no hesitation in recommending and will be going back!
