Hôtel Restaurant À L'Etoile

Oh, what a joy! We had an entire little bungalow to ourselves, with twin beds on the lower level and twin beds plus a chair that could open into a bed on the loft; a cathedral ceiling; a kitchen counter with sink in the main room, a shower and sink in the "bathroom", and the toilet alone in its "water closet"; an easy chair; a TV with many channels; windows along one wall, looking out onto apple trees and some garden, and a window in the back looking out onto the more formal garden. The price for a bungalow is so close to the price for a room, that the only reason I can think of for not choosing one is if you have trouble walking, because it is necessary to walk up a slight incline to get to the bungalows. And it is wonderfully quiet, with one definite exception: there is a rooster in the neighborhood who takes his duty very seriously. I, however, am a person who loves being awakened by a rooster rather than by trucks and cars or people arguing in another room. It lets me know that I am in the country, surrounded by apple trees and gardens.
