Les Filolies surpassed our expectations in every way. The hotel itself is comfortable and homey. There is a common room with a kitchen area and guests are welcome to use it however they wish, including meal preparation. The property is extensive and shaded by mature trees. There are goats, donkeys, rabbits and chickens at one end and children can enjoy visiting them. The swimming pool is a welcome installation after a day touring the area. Nathalie and Jean-Marc could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The breakfasts (included) were delicious and plentiful. Guests can easily be on their own and enjoy their privacy or mingle with the other guests. There are only 6 guest rooms so one always has the feeling of space. We do not speak French, but Nathalie manages very well in English. The hotel is located in a perfect rural area in the heart of the Dordogne, close to Sarlats, Beynac-et-Cazenac, Roquemadour, and countless other attractions. We loved it.
