My three-day stay was superlative! After a long day's drive, I arrived late in inclement weather. But inside, I immediately found a warm home run by a young couple (with 3 children) who aim to please. Each room is large and with an exit onto a terrace overlooking their spacious garden, lake and mountains. Why go out to dinner when Markus can cook a magnificent meal with the company of other interesting people? There is a need for a car, but Annecy is not far away. Being on the sunny side of the lake and without the bustle of cities are also major assets. No television in the rooms and bathrooms on the other side of the hall could be problems for some travelers, but I found they were non-issues with their 3 bedrooms and a large living room. It would be useful to speak French, but it is not necessary (Véronique and Markus also speak both German and English). On my next visit, I will bring my wife!
