The guesthouse looks nice with a terrace where you can sit, a kitchen which you can use and a washingmachine (for free!). One big problem: the beds are really bad. I am a small girl, but still i felt all the strings in the mattress and when i turned, it felt like i was on the floor. We were asked twice if we wanted to check in, while we were already staying there two nights and had several conversations with the lady. Overall, an ok place if you like your privacy and your own kitchen, but please try your bed directly and maybe ask to change it.

OK for a bit

When we arrived at the hostel, there was nobody there so we had to call the host so he would come to the property to check us in. There were dirt marks from shoes on the bathroom floor and there was no toilet paper - the toilet was quite dirty and the shower tap was faulty so that barely any warm water came out (if there was any hot water at all).
Within our 9 days  trip in Georgia this was by far the worst accommodation we stayed in.
The good point of this property is the location on the main street but if going back to Kazbegi we would stay somewhere else.

We wouldn't stay here again

Customer service at this place was nonexistent. I recommend taking down the phone number so you can call them when you arrive, otherwise there may not be anyone to check you in or show you your room.

On the plus side: one of few places we've been to in Central Europe with self-catering facilities and free laundry. 

Downers: our bathroom had no ventilation and never dried out; the curtain between our large glass window and the main hallway was pretty transparent, so privacy was minimal when we had our light switched on. 

Overall I do not recommend. 

Where are the staff?

Unfortunately there was no hot water in the hostel. The receptionist wasn’t very nice and friendly to us. The washing machine in the kitchen was broken and there was a flood on the floor, our shoes and socks got wet when we had breakfast. 

No hot water 

Basically the whole guest house is dirty. The rooms are mouldy and the hot shower does not work at all (not only in our room all guest had the same Problem when we stayed there). The water Drainage is a nightmare, its loud and the water does not work in the kitchen or for the washing machine. No one removes rotten food from the fridge is some travellers forgot to remove it before they leave. Actually it was the first time we left a guesthouse Although we already paid for it. The host is never there but comes immediately if you call him which is good. We had headache and nausea for two days because of the spores on the place... Its really unhealthy :(
