Excellent location, amazing food, lovely staff, nice views, cleanliness, perfect kitchen. Should definitely visit! Despite pandemic situation, here is an excellent mood! Also, all the rules are followed!

Thanks.  We were given a tour of the winery.  Caring, polite, kind and nice staff.  Conveniently.  Delicious pizza.  A nice place.

Rooms very large and clean, but the walls were paper thin so you could listen to the wild dog consert during the nights. Other than that the shower was decent and nothing really wrong.

I would assume that in a hotel you could get service in English and sometime service at all, it was bit tough at times. Location was good, does not matter too much in Kvareli though.

Breakfast had good things and bad things, but you should get your morning nutrition and caffeine filled.

Cannot say about the price, it was a package deal with driver and some vineyard visits so cannot say if the price / quality ratio was good. But a solid place to stay in Kvareli, there are not too many alternatives anyway.

This is a relatively  new hotel  in the centre of small town...the rooms are basic but clean..Staff is cooperative... A good restaurant in front of the hotel is popular among locals & enjoyed dinner there....a wine shop with tasting facility is nearby.

Chateau Karelia is not the most attractive of buildings on first appearances and one wonders what one has come to! But...the staff were very helpful and the rooms a couple of floors up were perfectly reasonable and a comfortable bed. The room opened out onto a tiny balcony. We had a good meal in house in the evening and breakfast the following morning was pretty good. Don’t be put off by appearances - or the smokers clustered around the hotel entrance!

A relatively new hotel, not really a chateau, but it is owned by one of the big wine producers in the area. They have a neighbouring wine shop and tasting facility that guests can access free of charge.

The hotel is in the centre of the small town, but the town does not offer much else in the way of eating places. The hotel in fact has three restaurants - we chose to eat outside on the front of the hotel, which was the most popular place for locals.and enjoyed dinner

Breakfast was  a buffet served in a bleak, windowless room below ground. It only offered 4 tables, each seating up to 10 people. I think we should have asked for a tray and carried our food up to the ground floor and eaten outside

The staff were very helpful (unusual for Georgia) One of the waitresses showed us round th wine production and helped us choose dinner.

The hotel has a deserved good reputation. We had a large corner room on the top floor. It was spacious and bright with a large balcony

Evenings can be chilly here and you need to dig the blankets out of the wardrobe, where they are well hidden

A word of warning about the local dogs. For reasons unclear to me, hotel staff feed the (presumably stray) dogs. This results in a pack of 6 or 7 dogs in permanent attendance. They bark all night, and if you opt to eat in the Beer Garden restaurant, you will be plagued by them.

Nice hotel located in the center of Kvareli. The room was clean and comfortable with access to a large bacony/ gallery.
The staff was very friendly.  
In the basement of the hotel there is a nice restaurant where we had a typical Georgian dinner. Breakfast was also good. 
Behind the hotel, there is a walled fort. An employee of the hotel open the door to the fort and told us the story of wine Kindzmarauli. Very happy about this hotel.
There is a mini bar in the room - with free water and free wine!!!

Georgia is the oldest wine producing country in the world. Already 7000 years of wine history. Underground clay jars (known as kvevri), are still used to ferment during the winter. The Georgian hospitality is unique as the wine production is. In Chateau Kvareli you find both: free tour with information how the wine is made including tasting and fantastic hospitality. Two hours driving from Tbilisi but it was a great experience.

This relatively new hotel has basic clean rooms very little idea about how to provide services. In the evening there was no-one who could speak English at the dinner service so it was difficult to order wine and understand drinks. The included dinner was just ok. Sadly the quality of sleep was not great as there were dogs barking all night and people loudly arguing outside. Breakfast was very basic.

Just Adequate

Ordered beef steak (medium done), got burned beef pices, looked and tasted like burned dry meat. Worst steak I ever tasted. Realy bad service, when I complained they didn't do anything, looked at me and went back inside.
