This apartment is located 5 km from Alexander Platz. This can sound like a kong distance, but it only tankes 10 minutes with the U-bahn and a 10 minutes walk. And after a long day in busy Berlin, it is a beatiful relief to sit in the nice and quiet garden and relax. The apartment is clean and well equiped for 4 persons and the hosts are friendly and helpful. 

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here.  It's located in a quiet, residental area. Torsten and his sister, Claudia were extremely welcoming and both spoke excellent English, which we appreciated as we speak little German. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. They were charmingly decorated, very comfortable and modern.There were two TVs, one in each room. We stayed in a set of rooms with a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchenette containing two studio beds. The kitchen contained two small fridges. We also had use of an outdoor patio area and garden. One night Torsten provided us with scented candles as we sat outside. The rooms are clearly intended to be eco friendly with a convection hob and a masticating toilet. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed. It was about a 10 minute walk away from the tram/S-bahn, which was on a direct line to Alexanderplatz. On the night of the world cup Torsten even drove us into the city to for an area with a nice atmosphere. A level of helpfulness which we've never experienced elsewhere. I'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed for four nights at this hotel in a group of 5. The place really feels more like an Airbnb in the sense that once you pay the bill you rarely see the owners and feel like you are on your own. The rooms are of a large size, the kitchen is sufficient, there are plenty of blankets and heaters to keep warm in winter and the bathroom is modern. This hotel is a little further out from the city centre however there is a tram stop within roughly a ten minute walk so it was easy to get to all of the attractions - around a 10 minute tram ride to AlexanderPlatz. There are also many shops located close to the hotel. The owner is friendly enough but there were issues with the Internet connection on our first night and it was difficult to explain this as his English was limited but we did get it sorted and all was great! Only mentioning this as others may struggle with connection too but just speak up if you do and maybe offer to lend a hand in sorting it out. I would recommend to anyone after a place offering a lot for a very reasonable price in Berlin. 

We arrived at the property to be greeted by Torsten, who gave us a tour of the ground floor apartment and provided us with lots of information on the local public transport network and sights. He is by far the most helpful and friendly owner/manager we have ever met.

The apartment is located on a large block of land and is spacious and well equipped with tea, coffee (instant and ground for a drip machine), herbs and spices and even an egg cooker.  The kitchen is well equipped with all you need.  The fridge does not have a freezer so don't buy any ice cream.  
The bathroom is large and very clean.  The beds were comfortable and with double  glazing on the windows and  glass doors,  the apartment is well lit, insulated and quiet. There were tables and chairs outside as well so, weather permitting, el fresco dining is an attractive option as well.  The unit  did not have a washing machine however Torsten  offered to have  our clothes to be washed at no extra cost.   The apartment was cleaned on a daily basis.  The heating is hydronic and automatically set and was a bit cool at times for us Australians who had come at a time when Autumn is Sydney was around 25 degrees Celsius compared  to 10 to 15 at Berlin.

The location is very convenient to central Berlin via the U2, M1 tram and local bus services from Vinetastrasse  as well as another  tram service that takes off from east of the property. There is a large shopping centre within 500 metres of the property.

Wonderful house north of city centre. We stayed for four nights and found it just a bit far away from main sights. Main problem being, it takes 20-30 min to Alexandersplatz, and then some to wherever you want to go... So this time of the year, when days are short, we started out in the morning and didn't really feel we could take a break mid-day. Might be better in the summer, there were some outside sitting areas that looked quite inviting.

The apartment we had suffered from noisy plumming, we were probably waking up the whole building just using the bathroom. The owners seemed nice and helpful, they live in the same building. Payment was cash only.
