If I'm being honest, I'm almost afraid to review this spot because it's so good, I'm tempted to keep it all to myself. 

If you're looking for peace, privacy, quiet, and some of the most spectacular sunsets you can see from the comfort of your own verandah, you've come to the right place. The cottages are simple, but clean and well appointed with everything you need for a wonderful stay. There is no wifi and barely any signal, but that's kind of the point. Come to reconnect with nature and with your own company. 

Off the beaten track. 

Lovely, well thought out rooms with comfortable bed, space, a well equipped kitchenette and great terrace. The views to Milos and the sunset are stunning and uninterrupted. It feels as though it's just you, the birds, a small herd of goats and a donkey. So peaceful it almost hurts!

Peace and tranquility

Second time staying in Notos, this time with a 2 year old child.   
Not much has changed in 5 years, be it in Notos and the surrounding area.  
This time we used the kitchen and appreciated the variety of utensils, cookware and tableware available.  There was even 3 different devices for preparing coffee! 
If you plan on having dinner outside, I recommend bringing mosquito repellent in case there is no wind. 
Overall still a magical place, unique in the Cyclades in my opinion.  Highly recommended.

5 years later, still awe inspiring

We came by boat and accidentally end up in cafe Notos. Martha and George was just about to leave their lovely coffee house for the afternoon break. They offered us to enjoy our coffee even if they had to leave. George explained us where to find facilities, told us about his life and makes us feel family from the first moment. 

The terrace is nice to sit and well decorated. The coffee was awesome!

Definitely a hidden gem.

Lovely

Eco-friendly small houses in an outstanding location. Total respect to the environment and the traditional architecture.  No TV, no Wi-Fi, the perfect place for relaxation and meditation! 
What do you see from your yard? During the day you can see the surrounding fields, a couple of small white churches and the endless sea and sky, during the night you can admire the Milky Way since there is no light pollution! What do you hear? You can really hear the sound of silence and occasionally a goat or a donkey!
We had the most amazing vacation in this magical place. Hosts Lucas and Theano are truly amazing people and we thank them for everything! Hope to visit again soon!

If you are planning a trip to Folegandros, make sure you stay at Notos in Ano Merià, it will make the difference between a holiday break and a memorable experience. Managed with passion by Loukas and his lovely family, Notos studios are perfectly integrated in the environment, offer all modern comfort yet respecting the traditional style. Away from the crowd, the sound of nature is all you will hear. You will enjoy breathtaking seaview and spectacular sunsets just sitting on your veranda. And when the lights go down, you'll get lost in the sky full of stars. Highly recommended!

Notos, the place to be

Our stay in Notos was wonderful; with an uninterrupted view of the countryside and the sparkling Aegean sea; this is the perfect hideaway. If you like to be left alone surrounded by nature this is the place to go to. The patio is a little gem where you can enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine.
Lukas is the perfect host and went out of his way to make our stay perfect ensuring we are comfortable at all times. We will definitely go back.

If you appreciate a perfect scenery, an excellent and friendly service, spacious and clean rooms with tasteful decoration in an ecological and energetically almost self-sufficient lodging in one of the finest gems of the Aegean, then surely Notos is the place to stay for an unforgettable summer vacation in Greece.
