One of the cheapest hotels in Folegandros, quite near the sea (about a couple of minutes walk) and clean! We liked it a lot, it is quiet, with everyday cleaning and you can ask the owner anything you like and they are very friendly. They have different animals in the land (hens, roosters, rabbits) and several cats. You also should know that the walls are thin...

Cozy, family owned and cheap

Far away from the stylish and super expensive boutique hotels of the island, The Farm is an excellent choice for your stay in Folegandros. It is situated in the port (Karavostasis) of the island, just 1 minute walk from the beach and offers traditional hospitality in a decent price (80euros/night for a triple room). Before booking i asked the owners if we could bring our little dog with us and they were more than happy to have her. Actually they also have a small dog and some cats in their garden. 
Dont expect special decoration. Rooms are simple and clean, some of them with a kitchen and the owners are very friendly and polite. Just a few steps away you can find a mini market, bakery, restaurants, atm, and the bus stop that will take you to Chora.  
As we were traveling with two kids (8 years old) and no car, Karavostasis was just the perfect place to be. 
In the morning we were having out breakfast in one of the restaurants on the beach, where we spend also the rest of the day, swimming and playing in the sea, totally relaxed.  
At the afternoon we took the bus to Chora and to Ano Meria for dinner, drinks and spectacular views. 
If you have no car, a nice way to see all the beaches of the island is the boat tour. Price is 40 euros for adults and 20 for kids. The boat departs from Karavostasis (port) at 11 in the morning and returns at 6 in the afternoon. The program is very relaxed with frequent stops for dives and a traditional lunch served on boat.   



Pleasant stay, clean rooms, polite owners, pet friendly

The place is located at the port, about 9 minutes wallking from the port and 100 m from the beach. Karavostasi is a quiet place, with some places to eat and if you want to stay away from the tourists, in a quiet and peacefull place this is rigth for you. 

There are buses going to other places in the island, so, is easy to go everywhere.

Clean, quiet and with a balcony, including AC, refrigerator.

Please note that the reception is only working between 12 to 2 pm, so, if you arrive later you must recall that to the reception.

The only downside was that the internet didn't work, but that is really our fault seeing as we could have told them. 

Other than that, it was excellent. The staff was very nice and welcoming and the maid did an absolutely excellent job, more than she should have had seeing as it's more of a pension rather than a hotel.

The room was great with a nice kitchen. 

I would definitely stay there again. Hope to experience you again soon! 

Absolutely loved it

The Farm is nearby the port in a quite street so the position is good.
The structure and the rooms are so old under the house of the owners, that you are never going to see! Nether for advices, nether for giving you infos about the island and check out, you are left alone during the whole stay! Which could be ok, but Folegandros is a windy island and all our friends had the apartments' landlords who told them which beaches to visit, where to go, we didn't know anything and on our last day we had to wait 3 hours before someone to come and let us check out!
It is ok for the price but not recommended! 

I am not going to come back here

We stayed for three nights at The Farm. It's is located very close to a beautiful beach in the harbour with some great beaches and view points within walking distance. The rooms are clean, basic and great for a traveler to Folegandros on a bit of a budget. We were there in shoulder season so many of the cafes and moto hire had closed nearby, but Chora is close by and the bus runs regularly on the island.
