181 reviewsThis farmhouse is located just a few kilometres from the Tuscany/Umbria border. It's a great location since you are near south Tuscany cities like Siena (1 hour trip using highway), San Gimignano, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino etc,, as well as interesting locations of Umbria or Lazio regions (Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto etc.). The farmhouse has very clean and comfortable apartments. Some of the apartments are connected with each other (via internal door) so if you come with a bigger group you can use these neighbouring rooms. The owner is very friendly, opening for every question and can give you much interesting and useful information and advices that you will not find in your touristic guide book. The breakfasts are typical continental, with some sorts of jam and honey, good tea and coffee (also cappuccino). The road to the farmhouse is quite good so you don't have to be afraid of your car. A few kilometres from the farmhouse you can find a town of Castiglione del Lago, where you can make some basic shopping (food etc.) in Coop supermarket (GPS: 43.122263,12.042333) or find a gas station with petrol/oil (for example Agip 43.125098,12.045945, Esso 43.123943,12.044126 or Tamoil 43.123132,12.042721).
