NH Catania Parco Degli Aragonesi 

This hotel was just perfect placed for a relaxing time either by the pool or the private very clean beach area , sun loungers free with towels also cold drinks available on the beach which was also immaculately clean , lovely meals served in the hotel restaurant or at the pool bar , the pool was very clean and well looked after, transport is available by a local bus around one per hour to the Center of town or by taxi , but you can also walk to town by footpaths in 30mins at most , hotel can arrange tours, (my son and I choose a tour to mount Etna which was very good ) which can also be seen in all its glory from the private beach, yes there is airplanes landing closely at Catania Airport but hardly acknowledged as the surrounding areas of the hotel and lovely garden make up for it and never bothered me at all , in fact I quite liked watching airplanes coming in from different places in the world. The staff go out of their way to help and assist and I found them very helpful when I needed to book another hotel in Palermo, where I stayed at another NH Hotel (which was also very good ) for a couple of days before my flight was taking me back to Scotland.
