Taverna di Bibbiano

Very trendy, clean and friendly country hotel... and not over-priced at all. Two 2-story stone buildings have a bunch of nicely decorated rooms. What you get from your room's window is the view of San Gimignano and its medieval towers - just breathtaking! This was rendered even more exceptional by the ever-present smile of Alessandra (reception attendant), who has willingly and efficiently fixed every little request we have placed. The next-door taverna is not to be missed either. €35 they charge for the dinner (if you are a hotel guest) may sound high; but it actually is a real treat, given the quality, taste and close attention you get. Taglitelle topped with truffles and the steak Florentine were masterpieces. Of the dozen meals we have had on countryside restaurants of Tuscany, this was clearly the most outstanding!
