836 reviewsWe have just returned home after a 9 night stay. We booked a package which included a top floor room with balcony and sun beds and pick up/ return to Pisa Airport. Our flight from Manchester was delayed for 2 hours so we didn’t get off to a good start. The Hotel Manager came to pick us up and thankfully he was still waiting despite the long delay. Our room had a fantastic view of Lerici and the Gulf of Poets and we spent many hours just relaxing and admiring the vista. Breakfast was very good with choices of hot and cold food, freshly made coffee and cakes/ pastries. The view from the breakfast room was excellent too. It is a short walk downhill into the town which takes 3 mins and plenty of good restaurants to choose from. Our favourite was L’Ancore de Lerici. The town has a great atmosphere in the evenings with a mix of locals and tourists. Ferries run like clockwork from Lerici to Portovenere and the Cinque Terre. We also caught the local bus to a pretty village called Tellaro about 15 minutes away. This area of Italy is frequented almost exclusively by Italian holidaymakers and consequently very little English is spoken. This did present a few language difficulties with some hotel staff but we managed to get by. All in all a great holiday in a beautiful region of Italy.
