Hotel San Pietro

This hotel was excellent. quick and efficient booking in, small car park under the hotel. Food was really good quality, always a roast joint, and a range of other meats, hot veg dishes and salads- if you can't find something you like I'd be surprised. Breakfast was also really good, always fresh pineapple and melon as well as other fruits and the usual range of hot and cold options. The service was superb, very pleasant wait staff who were attentive without being fussy. The room was large with plenty of clothing storage, a shower and bath and an unbelievable view from the balcony. Stunning. Everything being done by workmen (new garden area, paving repairs) was done to the best standard. The hotel itself is kept beautifully and the gardens on each level were lovely. Reception staff were excellent, helped us with great ideas for days out etc. There aren't many british people, but my husband and I do like to feel we're abroad! The hotel is in a superb position, a short 10 min stroll down to town which is a delight and also to ferry stops for Malcesine and other stops around the lake. A very special holiday for us -also take time to go to Alto Bergamo if you can and go on the cable car to Monte Baldo, the walk along the promenade at Salo, the amazing house and gardens Il Vittoriale and Andre Heller garden. So much beauty!
