169 reviewsWe stayed for 5 nights in Hotel Pignatelli and were very satisfied with almost everything. It's not a perfect place, but I decided to give it 5/5 to help with the ratings that have been skewed by some strange (and occasionally offensive) reviews left on this site. We arrived late, around 11pm, but had arranged this with the manager in advance. It cost us an extra 5 euros per hour. The manager was welcoming and friendly, taking time to recommend places to visit. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. This area of the city is quite noisy and dirty, but also vibrant and full of great restaurants, cafes etc. It's fair to say that if you don't like this kind of vibe you might as well not bother coming to Naples - but also that it might not be an ideal choice for families with young children. We loved exploring the narrow streets and found it easy to go further afield, there's a metro stop about 10 minutes walk away. In my opinion this is a great choice for a short break.
