I stayed at Baia Azzurra in October 2023, with my 12 year old son, it was the UK half term and Taormina was very busy. It was also very warm. This hotel is not a chain hotel so if you are expecting a Hilton, this place is not for you. I would describe the hotel as being a Traditional Italian style hotel. The room was basic, but you do not go to Sicily to sit in a hotel room. Although basic it was clean and had everything we needed. The staff at the hotel are amazing, they are helpful and friendly I cannot complement them enough. I would like to highlight the resturant manager, she is absolutley awsome, my son is gluten free and she adopted the menu to cater for him, he didnt want to leave and described the food as the best he has ever eaten. I would definatley return.
