We were unsure about a 1 star hotel but Hotel Arena is better than many 3 star hotels I've stayed in. Position is fantastic. A short walk from the station and across the road from the castle, Castelvecchio. A short and lovely walk through old cobblestones streets to the Arena and close to all main attractions. The front desk is staffed 24hrs with very pleasant and obliging staff. I highly recommend this hotel for a budget stay in Verona.
