What a fantastic, understated hotel located in a quieter part of the NishiShinjuku area. TokyoStay is within walking distance to busier parts of Shinjuku and public transport. The Airport Limousine Bus stops at the nearby Hilton Hotel Shinjuku, which is convenient to and from the airports and will save you some money. Speaking of saving money, the hotel rate is very affordable and they offer you free toiletries at check-in and provide a self-serve complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby. Breakfast is offered, but for an extra fee. For a quick meal, McDonalds is next door, Starbucks is on the same street, closer to the Hilton, 7/11 and Family Mart are down the block from the hotel. There is a lovely shrine and park across the street. The hotel room was cozy, warm and newly renovated. The amenities are modern and the room was spotlessly clean. The style was a mix of Japanese and Scandinavian, simple and elegant. The staff was friendly and spoke English and Japanese fluently. I had a relaxing time and it was nice arriving from my long day tours to this lovely hotel. If you are searching for a hotel that is efficient, clean, orderly with a kind staff, you will be very happy staying here during your trip.
