Hotel Hyatt Regency Bishkek 

Fantastic hotel. I love the remodel and upgrades and I am excited to see how they continue to refine the product to remain Bishkek’s premier hotel. I was here 8 1/2 years ago and I loved the hotel then, BUT the rooms were dated and the bed was very uncomfortable. TODAY the new remodel has transformed the rooms into stunning, modern, comfortable places with extremely comfortable beds and sheets. The staff is incredibly helpful. Everyone is so accommodating. They helped us book a massage appointment across town, called a taxi, and even got on the phone to help guide the taxi driver to the right place. Overall the service at the HR Bishkek is 10/10, what you would expect to find at a Park Hyatt. Amenities: we enjoyed the pool, the large fitness center, the hot tub and plunge pool, and club lounge. Breakfast: very good! Beautiful, fresh. I love the egg bar. Here I will offer some feedback to make the breakfast even better. #1 Ordering eggs should be easier. I just wanted poached eggs but they didn’t have the “poached egg plate” (which evidently includes avocado toast), so they said they have no poached eggs. So I ordered eggs Benedict instead (which includes poached eggs, hahaha). So #1, make it easier to order just the egg and not the “egg dish.” #2: where did the bacon go? I KNOW it’s a Muslim country, yes I know this. But 8 1/2 years ago they had a small pot with amazing bacon, which was quite popular with the westerners. I told probably a dozen people over the past 8 years that the HR Bishkek surprisingly has some of the best bacon, and was a surprising and welcome addition. In fact I always thought it was super progressive and equitable of them to offer bacon. Now u fortunately it has been taken away. The protein options at breakfast are now pretty limited to chicken sausage (which kinda tastes like a basic hot dog) and samosas (beef filled in bread … I love it. But omg sooooooo many carb options at breakfast and no protein except hot dogs and eggs!) Club Lounge: they are very proud of the recently remodeled and “much more luxurious” lounge. But honestly I prefer the old one from 8 years ago. The old one has character. You could tell you were in Central Asia. It was musky and colorful like a luxury caravan. The new lounge honestly has as much character as the Hyatt Regency Chicago Airport or the HR Tulsa Oklahoma. If I could offer some advice, it would be to make the club lounge more inviting and more local. Add more Kyrgyz heritage. And for heavens sake turn on the lights! Those are my two areas of feedback. 8 1/2 years later, I am so grateful to be back here. After 10 days driving in the desolate Pamir Highway from Dushanbe to Osh, in yurts and in outhouses, I can’t describe how wonderful it is to be back at the Hyatt Regency Bishkek. Also note that my partner and I are both Globalists and we’ve been to like 100+ Hyatts around the world so my feedback is coming from that place of lots of context. Peace!
