This was our first stay at this relatively new island and overall we were delighted. Water villa on Mabin was excellent, staff were great (although seemed to be a bit short staffed at times), alacarte restaurants were great, buffet restaurants were fine, good spa, great tennis/padel facilities. House reef was disappointing but snorkelling off the beach was excellent - very strong currents so more enjoyable if you are a strong swimmer. Resort can get a little busy at times as it is marketed as ‘family friendly’ however there is plenty of space for couples to find their own peace and quiet. We visit four island per year and this is definitely going on our repeat list.

Domestic plane: roundtrip domestic plane and boat transfer fee per adult per booking: USD 335.00.

Roundtrip domestic plane and boat transfer fee per child per booking: USD 266.00 (Infant under 2 years complimentary (seat sharing with parents)).

Children over 12 years of age are considered adults and are subject to the same taxes as adult guests.

Baggage allowance is 22kg checked luggage on comfort class and 35kg on Sapphire class, and 5kg carry-on luggage. Any excess luggage is chargeable at the airport during airline check-in. Prices and weight restrictions are subject to change at the discretion of airline company. Guest details including full names of all travelling guests and international flight details are required at least 7 days prior to arrival to confirm reservation. Failure to do so may result in difficulty with seat availability. Domestic transfer rates above include boat transfer from Madivaru Airport to the resort. Domestic Air transfer is operated by a third party and the boat transfer is arranged by the resort.

Guests arriving on an international flight which cannot connect to the last seaplane of the day to Jawakara (usually departs no later than about 1600hrs Maldives Time) may choose to overnight at a hotel in and around Airport or at the capital city Male. The last flight departure from Jawakara is around 1600hrs or earlier subject to seaplane company operation.

For Christmas and New Year's Eve dinners, guests may be charged separately at the hotel.
