Palm view is a really nice place which is situated in the beach side of Hulumale Island, They have a wonderful roof top terrace where at night you can see the beautiful ocean and the night life of Hulumale.

NICE PLACE

Went for a stay at palm view for two nights. The room was packed with furniture and it was hard to move around. However the room and the washroom was clean. Staff is friendly nothing to complain about. Though the WiFi is freely available the connectivity is only there in the lobby area. 

Packed rooms 

1) No elevator, only narrow stairs 2) Room too small bumped legs with bed-end many times while going to bathroom 3) No hot shower 4) No fridge in the room only a shared kitchenette & sofas outside the room 5) Bed sheets too small for mattress which causes body contact with mattress when tossing & turning 6) Mattress smells 7) Towels don't look new 8) No toiletries, not even soap and very little amount of toilet paper 9) No window just a small shared balcony with a view of neighbouring room so had to keep curtains closed 10) Wifi only in lobby and not always available 11) Front desk clerk not always available  12) Not 3 stars quality

Tiny room with NO view

I booked Palm view online. I planned to stay there a couple of days with my family before moving to an island resort. I selected Palm view since on the picture looked nice and the price was 2-3 times higher than nearby guesthouse so I thought it was a better place.

Once I arrive I found out that the rooms I booked didn't even have windows - I think this is even illegal. In addition to lack of air and windows, I found the rooms quite depressing. Moreover the guy at the reception could barely speak English. 

So I went around to see what was being offered nearby. I found 3-4 guest houses nearby with much better rooms - with windows of course - a better service and at 2 times less money. Palm view asked 180 usd per room per night whilst I found much better rooms for 80 dollar per night. 

I moved away immediately from Palm view and I asked for a rimboursement since they offering was clearly out of market but the onwer a certain alexamder didn't want to pay back anything even if I even didn't enter the rooms. So to me frankly Palm view seems a way to cheat people that book online. A very unethical approach that I need to clearly signal to other users. 
Fortunately the rest of the holiday was just great that we forgot about the palm view bad experience!

A place to avoid

Pro: good matras, silent airco.

cons: 
not a single drop of hot water (no water coming out of the tap).
wifi only works 5 m from the reception, not in the rooms.
Very small room.
Room next to kitchen/ breakfast area: yelling kids at 6 am.
Breakfast is not in front of the hotel, no 'palm view'.
We asked for a breakfast at 8 a.m., but they knocked at the door for breakfast at 7.30 am.

Very rude owner: I asked for a compensation for not having warm water (we paid 95$)
We got offered 5% (!) discount, after not accepting that, this was his answer (quote):

"Tell him he can leave the hotel now I told him from last night I can give 5%
That's what I told if not he can go"
