We spent wonderful time in this hostel. Owner is very nice, the view from the rooftop is terrific. Apartment itself is also clean and nice. There are planty of games on the rooftop in the "Magic Room". We strongly recommend this place.

Myself and my boyfriend (24) stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay!
Firstly, I made a mistake with my  booking and arrived a day early but there was no problem and we were given a room!
Our room was clean and comfortable with towels and good wifi.
We really appreciated having the comfortable terrace as we could spend evening playing cards and chatting here.
It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants and a a small shop right beside the riad to get water and bread.
There's cooking facilities and food available 
What made our stay so enjoyable was our host Houcine, he is genuine and so helpful, he answered all our questions and gave us great recommendations. He made us feel really welcome and always invited us to join him in the evenings. We also had a great surf lesson with him!
Lastly, he helped us with our transfer to and out of taghazout which was a great help.


Spacious rooms. Conveniently located and not very far from the beach. Good view from the terrace. Houcine was an excellent host. Breakfast was excellent - fresh breast and probably the best eggs we had in Morocco.

Imagine walking out of your bedroom and apartment to find yourself right on the beach! Restaurants and stores are close so after an exhausting day on the waves you can relax with ease. Houcine, the host, is beyond amazing both as a person and host. Next time im skipping the theatrics and coming straight to taghazout to the surf planet!

I know it sounds a bit cheesy, but Surf Planet was perfect! You are located right next to the beach, so when you wake up you can almost jump on the waves from your bed. The place is really nice and it has a sweet little chill area where all hung out every evening. To top things off Houcine was by far the best host I ever had... friendly, helpful, easy going and just overall a cool guy to hang out with! To conclude, I'm already saving up to come back...

Great place and location

Comfortable stay. Excellent service.

I have traveled to 53 countries and I rarely write bad reviews, but this is one of them. We spent here just one night with a small baby (13 months old). When we arrived, Houcine the owner was not there, he didn’t answer any calls and the care takers knew nothing about our reservation. Eventually when we connected with Houcine we were offered to choose between two rooms, which was nice. Unfortunately neither the room we originally booked, nor the one we picked was fully prepared (there was no toilet paper and no towels). We informed the host about this and he promised to come soon to fix everything for us. „Soon” meant after almost 3 hours, at 11pm, and in the meantime he ignored our 8 calls and messages because he was „busy” as he later explained. We made it clear that we were unhappy with how he treated his guests. When we met the following morning, Houcine was very frustrated and passively aggressive. Instead of apologizing and closing the topic, he tried to coach us on how things work in Morocco. He did not want to acknowledge that we felt disrespected by him. „I could f*ck you over if I wanted to”, „I don’t care about money or reviews, I don’t care about anything” - these are just some of the things he said during this unpleasant conversation. In the end he refused to accept the money which we had left him on the table in the room and asked us to leave immediately despite our earlier agreement. So basically he kicked us out with our small baby, our luggage from the storage room and our wet clothes which we left to dry. 
Shame on Haucine for how he treats his guests, because the place itself is quite nice.

Worst customer experience in Morocco

We stayed there for 1 night (apartment 2, 2nd floor on the left) and slept in the big bed, the day after we felt some strange and unpleasant itch on the skin and then we started to see bites everywhere. We realized that the night bedbugs "visited" us. We bought antihistaminic and other calming creme but after one week the bites are still on our skin. We didn't put "1" only because the owner was nice with us and we want to be nice as well, but I think this is important to know, even if he sent us a message saying he changed the bed after we told him about that.
