Easy check in process, code delivered at 14.00 on check in day. Clean and nice room, nice downstairs lounge with free coffee and tea and some items for sale

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend it. Perhaps just needs better signage so it's easier to find.

The hotel was super clean and modern.  The owner was a delight, and help us with hotel questions as well as printing maps and directions for some of our daily excursions.  There was a large variety of food at breakfast to satisfy anyones diet.  I love this hotel!

Karen receives a “ten-plus” as a wonderful host for our stay in Kongsvinger. the hotel is most pleasant in terms of accommodations, breakfast superb, and such gracious people. You are the best!

Excellent accommodation.  All automated but so simple to use.  The weather was very cold but the hotel was very snug. The rooms were functional and very practical and comfortable. The room temperature was excellent with superb insulation from the outside elements.  Highly recommended.  

Nice room, no luxury, but nice and clean room for the price. Comfortable bed. Nice lounge area on the ground floor with 24h coffee machine. Quiet area, about 5min from the city centre by car. Lovely breakfast. Keyless entry by night(pin code to access hotel and room by night).

Location: A bit outside the centre of Kongsvinger. Enough parking. River views from some of the rooms. Walking path at the riverside 

Rooms: Clean and fairly modern . Very comfortable bed. Two comfortable chairs and a table. Fridge. Enough space for unpacking your things. Decent seize bathroom and a really good shower. Light sleepers who like to have window open, might hear the trains at the other side of the river from riverside room

Facilities
A socalled smart hotel without reception. Checking In with code worked perfect. Cosy and clean lounge for meals or relaxation, also outdoor area/terracce. Free coffe  + disposable plates, cutlery available

We arrived in the dark with rain and had a very difficult time finding this hotel. Having said that, we were supposed to also get a code to let us in the building. We didn't have internet connection so this code was not available to us. Fortunately, there was a grocery store down the road and the wonderful youthful clerk was more than happy to help. We were put in touch with the owners via phone, and happily arrived and entered our hotel. The management was wonderful, and the hotel very clean, quiet and nice. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. The owner was kind enough to help us with directions to Oslo airport complete with printouts. He'll be happy to know we made it!
We would stay here again. 

DIfficult to find in the Dark, but great once you have!

Hey. I chose this hotel to just have a rest on our long trip from Indre Fosen to Skåne in Sweden. Room was very clean and cosy, very comfortable beds. We were there in the end of July so was very very hot. But hotel crews left the fan to us in the room, what saved our life. I know that Scandinavia especially Norway is not that hot during summer. But this summer showed us that climate is changing so maybe it is worthy to think about air conditioning? For sure would be more comfortable for guests. Breakfast was good.

Cosy hotel near to Oslo, Norway

This used to be Kongsvinger Gjestegård, but it's upgradedd and has new owners. Good alternative place to stay in Kongsvinger. It's a couple of kilometres outside the citycenter, but the bussconnection is good and taking a taxi isn't to expensive. Basic bathroom, clean, comfortable beds and quiet area.

Good value

Stayed at the Kongsvinger Budget Hotel and was pleasantly surprised. A makeover, new beds and new owners has changed the whole impression and atmosphere of this hotel.
Still a B&B but had all I needed, it was clean, room standard satisfying in general an OK experience.
