This place exceeded our expectations – we are really glad we chose it. The location, in the heart of Kristiansund, is excellent. Plenty of shops and restaurants around and just a very short walk down to the waterfront and historic shipyard. Our room was fantastic – clean, bright, and spacious. The TV had plenty of good programming (in English) and the Wifi internet worked well. The only thing missing was a mini-fridge. There was a space for one, but no fridge. It would have been nice. The buffet breakfast spread was very good, a huge variety – we had a good feed there. One of the biggest surprises was the very well-equipped gym. This gym is pretty much commercial grade, with a decent variety of cardio gear and a huge number of Technogym weight machines as well as free weights. Definitely a fully functional gym. Our biggest criticism was that we had to pay for parking in the hotel’s own parking area. This always irritates me when hotels make their guests pay for parking on their own sites. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend this place to other travelers.
