We stayed here en route from Bergen to Oslo and because it was close to the Bjørnepark near Flå. We booked the cottage. It is very, very basic but full of charm. If you want Marriot with 65' plasma and turn down service, then keep looking. This isn't it. What it is, however, is a superbly located, genuine piece of Norwegian life. The views are stunning, the people are super friendly and even their kids come up to the house to say 'hey!' They offer an evening meal, we didn't take this as it was a meat option and I'm veggie, but the smell almost turned me! Smelled amazing. If the cooking is met with the same passion as the staff the. I'm sure it would be great. Was 200kr pp for two courses and coffee. Breakfast was included also and very good. Buffet style and very 'of the continent'; cold meats, cheeses, fish, cereals etc. We even met the owners daughter in Oslo the following day and she took the time to stop and say hello for a bit. Was just what we were looking for. Thank you. The Jones Family.
