What a find! Litjøya is an idyllic island outside Bø in Vesterålen with an old lighthouse that has been nicely redecorated. Transport is by rib from the mainland. We had lunch  with beautifull views to the sea and the Lofoten islands, the hosts were very friendly and gave us a guided tour. You can walk around the island, you can see both remains from iron age settlements, a cave and white tip eagles. We went on a day trip, but you can stay overnight both in the main building and in an amazing apartment in the lighthouse! Very recommended, we will be back!😀

This is a fascinating place to disconnect and unwind. The boat ride out to the island (following a long drive) brings you into the mood. Then, the outstanding views of the ocean and the endless horizons round off the impression of having reached the world's end. 
We were surprised how comfortable and stylish our accommodation was. I liked the well-stocked library with the fireplace and the view of the Lofoten islands from our room. On our first evening, the Northern Lights danced around the sky. We got served three delicious meals a day, made off local ingredients like fish or herbs, greens and berries from their own garden. When we didn't rest, we explored the island. We hiked around it, peaked into the gloomy cave and climbed the hills for some even more thrilling views.
Sure, it's quite a costly stay but staying at Litløy Fyr is a unique experience. Elena and her staff made us feel very spoiled and welcomed. I appreciated very much that everything was included. The not so small extras for my partner's birthday did not add on top of the bill and neither did the lunch we got before our departure. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Litløy Fyr is one of our best and certainly most exceptional travel experience ever! We were two couples renting both rooms for 3 days. Litløya is a really peaceful and quiet place. The hotel is both cosy and stylish. The rooms are beautiful, clean and they offer a breathtaking view to the ocean and to the Lofoten islands. But the beauty and quality of Litløy Fyr is not only because of its premises, the great nature around it and the delicious and well varied food. It's first of all the people who own and run this hotel and who are making it such an uncomparable experience to stay there. We would come back any time!

This is a really amazing place. Located in beautiful and calm surroundings. The owner and her staff are so nice and do their best to make your stay perfect. A lot of the food is locally grown/caught and very well prepared.

All that's been said by other guests is true, this place is both exciting (watching orcas, sea eagles, climbing the steep hills etc) and relaxing (sitting on the terrace overlooking endless sea horizon...). For a while I could not define what type/standard of accommodation the Lighthouse actually fits: it is an apartment yet you are being served excellent food throughout the day and they do have nice wine too (which I always appreciate). Your beds are being done daily and all services well delivered you'd normally expect from a rather luxury hotel. Yet this is not a hotel and you get the feeling you had a little peek into Norwegian household. You dine next to the kitchen and talk to the staff (volunteers) about their experiences on the island etc. This all is well managed by Elena, who is a great host. A little story during our one week visit is self-explanatory: We've discussed with Elena that I love to play violin but did not bring any with me and just asked whether she would not have a spare instrument on the island. Expecting a polite "no, I am sorry" she instead said I'll ask on the mainland and in two days she brought the violin. And it was a good instrument!

The most beautiful nature, the warmest and most friendly hosting. Perfect for meditation and walking. Wonderful, fresh, tasty and healthy food. A breathtaking and heartwarming experience. I will never forget the glimpse of midnight sun from the top of the lighthouse, as I will never forget the peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended. 

friendly ,nice atmosphere. A place to relax and open up your mind. It is exiting to get the boattrip out to the island.In the lighthouse you can sit and just watch the sea and birds whilst listening to music played underneath.You can walk in the early morning on the island and you dont meet anyone.maybe you have a swim in the sea or just sitting in the gras.There are some historical information about the first people settling down on the island. we enjoyd food, beds looking out through the big windows.
