Storfjord Hotel

My family and I booked 3 rooms during December at this lovely hotel. From when we booked, the hotel was kind in answering my lengthy questions. They arranged transportation and other activities for us. The weather wasn’t suitable for us to do our boat tour, but the hotel graciously alerted us and was super flexible with the changes. This was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. The hotel is so cozy and very easy to find a relaxing, private space. We even used one of the living rooms to open family presents one night. We were traveling with our 4 year old daughter, and the staff was unbelievably kind and gracious with her. They always “snuck” her extra cookies (with our approval of course) and were able to accommodate a picky toddler’s eating. A few reviews mentioned service issues, so I want to touch on that. We did NOT experience any service issues at all. It was quite the opposite! The reception staff was so cheery and accommodating. We had several agenda changes, and they handled it promptly. Siri is such a cheery and helpful person. The restaurant staff was absolutely lovely. They were attentive and informative. We truly loved every interaction we had. The menu seemed small before we arrived, but none of our group tired from the options. The daily soup was incredible each day. Truly an outstanding culinary experience. (It is expensive, however, it’s a remote hotel! I didn’t think it was overpriced for what you received and the location) We stayed in the main building and the rooms were cozy and spacious. Will definitely plan another trip to this special place.
