We had more or less expected an average ”B&B” but we were in for a surprise. First thing we noticed was that the whole house had been thoroughly but carefully restored and re-decorated, in old Norwegian style, with excellent taste in every detail. The guest rooms were all very romantic, the beds were superb, and the surroundings were simply breathtaking! But we had more coming: the meals! Our friendly and charming landlady, Rita, is a trained cook – and what a cook! You won’t find better menus north of Oslo, we are sure! Not a single negative? Not really, but a few things to be aware of: All 4 guest rooms are on 1st floor, and the stairs are a bit narrow and steep. And guests are alone in the house at night – Rita and her family live in the next house nearby – with an alarm button, mind you. Third and last: Situated in "Årland", not "Tyssa" as stated on different homepages.
