Wonderful breakfast. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.  A little away from the city but close to a beautiful walking path around a large body of water..

The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. I slept really well during my four-night stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had a burger and fries in the hotel restaurant one night and it was very tasty. The price of the stay was a very good value for what I paid, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. 

Well located for the coference facilities at forum and next to DNB arena, also located next to a lovely lake and walking trails, this is a well serviced hotel with lovely staff, great food and comfortable rooms. The service from those in the restaurant is particularly outstanding, and they will cater to any need you have. Breakfast is superb, as is the lunch and dinner offering, and it is a nice hotel to base yourself if you want to be a little bit outside of the city centre.

Minus: In my room there was this partially open hatch in the ceiling in the bathroom. The room is pretty small so you have to be creative when storing your clothes on the clothing rack. Also there are very few power outlets in the room. They are only by the bed, so when using the kettle I had to use it in the bathroom. In my friends room they never restocked the toiletries. If you like having the window open you'll hear seagulls early in the morning at the nearby roof. They didn't acknowledge my Thon Platinum membership with even a water bottle before I asked them.

Plus: Got my friends room upgraded (I think). He had toiletries and bathrobes, but they were actually trying to charge for the upgrade at reception by a price list. Anyway, my friend loved his room. Both of our rooms were wrapped around the elevator but we didn't hear anything, nor from the neighbours. Everything was clean. It's not in the city center so it's perfect if you have a car, and there are lots of parking spaces nearby for a reasonable price. The breakfast is amazing, like most Thon Hotels properties. The view is really great too, looking at the sunrise while eating breakfast, too bad the floor is closed outside of breakfast.

The hotel is a bit of a landmark with its 21 stories. There starts to be some indication of ware and tare and should be renovated quite soon. Good parking close by at a rate of 100NOK/night which is good.

Nice hotel, typical scandinavian style with smallish rooms but they were well appointed and warm, important as this was October. The top floor restaurant has stunning views out over the city and lake, the food was also very good, with a superb breakfast buffet.

I stayed at Rica Forum for two nights in may. Comfortable rooms with a great view from the dining hall. A breakfast there is worth the trip by itself. Friendly staff, and just a few minutes walk to the bus.

We stayed for two nights in the Scandic Forum hotel, while we were on a trip through Norway. 

Just a few minutes away from the city centre. Great views on Stavanger. The room we got with a comfortable double bed was quite small though. We were very pleasantly surprised by the breakfast. One of the greatest and largest assortments of food we’ve seen so far during our trips! 

Recommended. 

The hotel is an ordinary hotel, but with a fantastic view. Enjoy the view while eating a great breakfast in the 21st floor! :-) The hotel also has an outside elevator, so you can enjoy the view while going up or down the floors in this high hotell. The personell was also very nice and service minded. Always smiling.
