We were staying at an Airbnb below the town. We would walk the trail the went around the mountain and up to "Alojamento Local De Pardieiros" every day. Lunch was served from one and we would order the food that was served that day. Tuesday was pork or rabbit, Wednesday was baccula, Friday and Saturday was pork and Sunday was a shepard's pie of scalloped potatoes, spinach and baccula. While our Airbnb host did not recommend the restaurant because of service, we highly recommend it because of service. Things improved. We loved the food, the people, who made us feel like locals by offering wine, birthday cake and the local brandy. Honestly, we will miss this place and would only come back to the village because of this restaurant.
