The location is hard to beat: right in the middle of the best part of Porto for cafes, restaurants, churches, museums and a short walk to the bank of the Douro river. This is a beautiful, historical building with modern studios some of which look out on the street. The beds are really comfortable, the bathrooms are great and they come with kitchens. The staff are really helpful and friendly and next door you can get a nice, buffet breakfast for €6. My advice is: if the price is to your liking, and a studio is available, grab it. I've seen some comments here about street noise. Yes, I heard happy people chatting outside -- it's a sign of life!
