If you want a wonderful holiday, with very welcoming hosts, good food, excellent accommodation, swimming pool, excursions, water, sun and all the comfort you can imagine…. we recommend the Steaua Dunării Pension from Eșelnița! 👍🏻

The terace was verry beautiful, we obtained one reservation for lunch with only 15 minutes before. The staff was really friendly and helpful. 
Regarding the food, I can’t say that the portion is small but niether big. 

We were there for dinner. The guys there were very busy with a group of tourists, however they made big efforts to made for us a nice meal and they succeeded! 
The food was fresh and tasty, we tried several dishes, we really appreciated. No regrets trying this place!

We liked it

Overall was a good experience

They have nice personnel, but the serving is absolutely slow, nevertheless there were only 3 tables, even for pancakes we waited 30min. The food is good nevertheless the portions are very small. The menu is quite long, nevertheless they do not have all the items, e.g. out of a full page of deserts they had only pancakes. I was disappointed at the end when we requested separate bills for the 2 families they couldn't separate us the bill.
The view is very nice, they even have a small pool for children.

The location is very nice, the view of the danube is fantastic.
Rooms are small, cozy, but have no phonic isolation.
The food in the restaurant is average at best (as almost everywhere in the area), small portions and pricey.
The staff is nice and they offer boat trips and watersports on the danube

The location and the view were great. It is a good place to start exploring the area.  The room was ok but they had some mold issues in rhe bathroom. The food was ok, nothing special about it and a bit expensive for what they offered.

they did' t have the food acording to the menu. We eat fish soup with scales ... not so good... 12 ron. we wanted  grill perch with vegetables and sauce from the menu  38 lei but they did'n have vegetables and sauce and the waitress recomended us potatoes... we requested polenta and garlic sauce instead... the perch was dry and very very salted ... the polenta was'n coked enough...the garlic sauce was a few pieces of garlic with a lot of water...then we wanted a limonade with honey from the menu, and we received limonade with sugar at the same price...12 ron... total bill 126 ron too much for terrible food...
