Pensiunea Casa Padurii

Our family had such a great experience at this restaurant. The surrounding trees and meadows are so beautiful. The establishment was immaculate and staff friendly. The food was delicious and reasonable.  There is a large area in front with playground for children. Great place to relax and eat traditional Romanian food  

An 8 day stay with friends to visit the salt Ines and fly our model aircraft in competition. We were warmly greeted and our rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast and dinners were always varied, tasty local style cooking washed down with a reasonable bar of drinks. The location is fairly remote, quiet ... except for a few pet dogs that love to woof all night. Would visit and stay again.

A very friendly and relaxing small hotel. Very rural local style of cuisine which was very tasty. A clean and comfortable room with ample facilities. Not the easiest place to find but when you do you can enjoy.

It's not near the center of Slanic but the area around it is amazing, basically you are into the wild.... Some 10 rooms and a small restaurant make up a great solution for week-ends and team buildings. Some 5 minutes drive to the salt baths and the main salt mine of Slanic.
There are tennis courts available, ATVs, BBQ special places and parking available. 

Rooms not very spacious but enough for 2 persons (maybe 1 young child also). Bathrooms decent, clean and spacious 
The food is pretty good and not very pricey.

Quite a good solution for a Slanic get-away.

EXCELLENT FOOD, FRIENDLY  STAFF

Flying high in Slanic

Although many kids come to this place to visit the salt mine (Salina), this is not a place for young children. The playground is dangerous and inside there are no activities. The food is limited. The heat is turned on only during the night and maybe during lunch when some are sleeping. So if you have a child that's up from 7am, he will freeze.
There is no chair small children. So during meal times you will have to manage. 
And many families come here with sick children. I'am not talking about asthma or other breathing problems. I'm talking about kids having a cold or vomiting. Parent think that if they go to the salt mine, the kids will be better but they give the cold to others...
