Zolotoy Yakor Hotel 

We visited Baltiysk for the 2017 Russian Navy Day celebrations and decided to stay at the Zolotoy Yakor for 4 nights. We were delighted with the hotel, it is very well located, close to the lighthouse, Peter I statue, embankment, across the channel with the RU Baltic fleet ships and famous Baltiysk swans. Elizabethan Monument and a fine sand beach are nearby, a 5 minute bike ride or a 20 minutes enjoyable stroll along the embankment. The hotel provides bikes for a small fee. Although it is an old styled Soviet building, it was properly renovated and it is a very comfortable and charming hotel. The room had everything we needed and a great view, as asked when I made the reservation. Bathroom had an excellent shower and everything was working properly. Wifi was free and fast enough. The restaurant had some interesting dishes and all we tried were very good. Only negative point is that it closes very early, at 20:00hrs. Although not a big or modern hotel, it was a pleasure staying on it, it served as a great base to explore the region and nearly beaches and we were very impressed by its very efficient and courteous staff, especially the ones from the reception. We do not speak Russian but that was not a problem, all the staff from the front desk were very helpfull, made all possible to fulfill our requirements and answered all our questions and concerns always with a positive and friendly attitude. Baltiysk is a very interesting and special little town and the Zolotoy Yakor made our stay even more enjoyable, I just have to praise its great staff.
