I stayed in nice Gorkiyhostel http://gorkiy-hostel.ru/# in a perfect location 2’ from the Kremlin. A spacious dorm with modern furniture for 490. Two separate toilets and 2 showers. Well equipped kitchen. Everyhting was very clean. Not much English spoken, but they are very friendly and helpful and use google translate when needed. No public transport directions on their website so email them in advance.
