Hi Korea Guesthouse

I chosed this guesthouse because it was amongst the best rated places in Busan. I can definitely see why. The staff is very friendly and accessible if you have any questions. The dorms are very good. I was in a 4 persons dorm with 2 bunk beds. Each bed has separate curtains and light with ensures both privacy and a better sleeping quality. Very clean also. The common area is nice. You can meet a lot of persons too.

It's really near haeundae beach. We going there night and the morning just to take picture. And I love the cat. Sorry for playing (chasing) with ur cat. She's so cute. The room is a bit small. But ok lah. We did our laundry before 8 pm. U can do laundry between 4-8pm cmiiw. They have bidet yeyyyy. Toilet for girls is near the entrance. It's just the shower room doesnt provide privacy because u can see each other even if u r in different cubicle. So just shower early in the morning. Breakfast was bread with strawberry jam and orange juice in the refrigerator. U can eat breakfast while watching the tv. When we went to checkout, there's no staff so I think u need to inform beforehand when the time u'll check out. As for us, I just kakaotalk the number that was written at the receptionist so yeah.. ^^

There were cats in our hostel, for me it was a very nice surprise since I really love cats. Also, I am allergic to cats and I believe they should have said that beforehand. Finding the hostel was a little tricky; we were looking for Hi Busan but instead, it was Hi Korea or vice versa. Toilets were clean but the sink was broken. Showers were clean and big. For breakfast, they said there was breakfast but we didn't see any, maybe we didn't look. We stayed in 2 person room with a bunk bed; the room was small but it was okay. 

Overall, I will definitely stay in this hostel again since it was clean enough.

A good hostel with cats

Will be back if I ever come to Busan again

This was our 2nd guest house in Busan as the first one was a nightmare. This one I place in the average range for a few reasons. 

Upon arrival the girl behind the desk as we were paying tried to give us the wrong change as they didn't have the correct change for us and said "is this okay?". It was definitely not okay being budget backpackers we need every cent so my partner gave her some extra coins so she could give us a larger note. Sorted.

Our room was a 6 bed dorm. Quite comfortable and clean. We ended up having the dorm to ourselves as it was very quiet so not much chance for social interaction but it was nice to have our own space. 

The showers here are still your usual communal showers in Korea but you actually have a curtain and the glass in between cubicles is half frosted and half not. A bit more than your usual Korean shower privacy which was good. This area was also clean enough. 

The bed was okay. I had a bit of a rough sleep though as there is no air conditioning in the room and I can only imagine how stuffy it would've been if our dorm had been full. 

As in the many reviews and even the description of this guesthouse and the toaster, kitchen like facilities with a sign saying breakfast from 8-10 we were expecting a simple toast and jam breakfast the next morning. We awoke to be very disappointed to find nothing set out. And not even a staff person around to question. Upon checkout there was finally someone at the desk and we asked why there was no breakfast. Her reply was that they stopped serving breakfast in April? 
Very strange considering the facilities they have there and the fact they have left this in their description is blatant false advertising. 

Like the title of this review this place was an average stay with a few disappointments including the customer service from staff. But if you're not picky or looking to socialize you will be comfortable here. I don't recommend for solo backpackers. 



Fairly comfortable stay but with a few disappointments

Well, room was fine and beds were comfortable however we couldn't control the temperature of the room as our remote was missing. There was a family staying next door (who brings kids to a hostel!?) that proceeded to yell & scream and slam doors all hours of the nights. Let's not even get started on the weird cats that would meow all night!. The shower room was clean & tidy as were the bathrooms however when booking we were told it was private bathrooms.. Wouldn't be rushing back.
