I strongly recommend this B&B lodging to anyone looking to visit Garden of Morning Calm, Nami Island, Petite France and surrounding areas in CheongPyeong or Gapyeong. 1. Location- It is just a one minute walk from Cheongpyeong station, and 3 minutes' walk to the nearest eateries and Korean style cafe/restaurants, and other convenient stalls. For those visiting Garden of Morning Calm, you can reach the Garden via a 20 min bus ride from CheongPyeong station on the Gapyeong tourist shuttle bus. For those planning to visit Namiseom, you could take a 10-15 minute ride by Seoul metro train to Gapyeong, and thereafter, transfer to a 5-minute local bus ride (bus number 33-5) and reach the Nami Island's ferry terminal. Cheongpyeong itself is a quiet and scenic town, and is worth a walk in the surrounding countryside areas. 2. Service- It is one of the best B&B that I have stayed in. Although Sunny and her husband speak simple (and sometimes broken) English, they more than make up for the language barrier in terms of their friendliness, warmth and hospitality. They have gone out of their way to make the guests' stay as comfortable as possible, and they have also answered numerous of our queries prior to our Korea trip, and also extended practical help and advices during our 3D2N stay. They were also willing to adapt our morning breakfast menu to suit our dietary limitations. We spent 2 very nice, meaningful evenings with this lovely couple and learnt many things about traditional Korean culture, the arts and music. We did our booking via AirBnB. A must stay for anyone planning to spend a few days touring this scenic, beautiful region in South Korea.
