Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul Myeongdong 

We loved our stay at the Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel. It was easy to get to on the Airport Limousine Bus from Incheon, which dropped us next to Myeongdong station, and then it was just a short walk to the hotel. The hotel reception is up on one of the top floors of the building, where we were warmly greeted by the staff who spoke very good English. I had no problems at all understanding them, and didn't need to attempt to use my basic Korean. The clientele was mostly Japanese, Chinese, and a small number of Europeans. We had booked an executive twin room on the 20th floor, which was fantastic. We had a great view of Myeongdong Cathedral and the room was very comfortable. Having a Japanese-style toilet is always a treat! We heard no noise at all from other guests or from the roads outside during our week-long stay. They clean the room every other day as standard, and provide fresh towels and bottled water at your door on the other days. The only negative for us was that I would say that the air in the room was incredibly dry from the air conditioning. However, a humidifier is provided in the room which I was very grateful for as it meant it wasn't a problem. The humidifier lights up, but you can turn the light off with the switch at the back (it took a while to work that out). I can thoroughly recommend room 2023 and would stay in that room again if we came back to Seoul. The hotel also has four lifts which made getting up and down to the room very quick and easy with hardly any waiting. The hotel is very central, so the pedestrianised streets nearby can be quite busy with tourists, particularly at the weekend. We enjoyed the buzz of it, and it meant there were lots of shops, restaurants and in the evening street food stalls very close by. Getting to other parts of the city was very easy as they were either walkable in 20-25 minutes or you could easily get a subway from Myeongdong Station, usually with a maximum of one change of line. I would definitely recommend this hotel, which we found to be good value and an extremely pleasant stay.
