I was fortunate enough to visit Zurich from September 15-22, 2025. Upon arrival, I was welcomed with genuine smiles and kindness. Everyone at the Altstadt Hotel made me feel welcome and safe during my visit. I had an absolutely wonderful experience due to the care, courtesy and kindness extended to me by every staff member I met and interacted with, including the front desk and reception (Agi, Ramon and Stefania), and the kind ladies who prepared the daily breakfast buffet and the lovely ladies who kept my room (#23) clean and tidy during my stay. I was offered wonderful recommendations for food, shopping, and historical and cultural referrals by the staff as well. No matter how many questions I had, they had an answer and a variety of suggestions. Not only is the location perfectly central, the rooms were nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet started the day with tasty choices, to energize a day of exploring, and the bar served a delightful aperol spritz (or your choice of your favorite cocktail - they have a full bar) to wind down and relax after a full day of sightseeing. I would recommend this hotel for everyone, whether you are a solo traveler, a couple or a family or friend group. You will be welcomed and cared for here.
