Baifern Homestay 

We arrived tired late in the afternoon and were very warmly welcome by all the members of the family in a beautifully decorated room with local wooden furniture and tasteful red curtains and furnishings. We even had our own sofa with comfortable cushions to sit outside in front of our room. We took a walk in the historical park just out of the door of the homestay, you won't believe it, with relics of the ancient Ayuttaya temples immeditely and freely accessible. At sunset it was almost a mystical experience. It was only little by little that we discovered all the little secrets and innumerable surprises of the lush tropical garden of the house created with passion and taste by the kind Thai lady owning it. In addition to the handicrafted local furniture, there is a giant sculpted rocking chair, statues of local divinities, multicoloured parrots perching on the trees, several rocking sofas to relax in the garden, magnificent jars, some docorated and painted, lush flowers cascading down the balcony from the first floor, and even statues of little rabbits peeping through the leaves. After the disappointment of the mediocre cuisine in town we had a very tasteful and authentic dinner with masaman and green curry prepared by the lady, I would recommend it as the best restarant in town! Berney, the Australian husband was a very relaxing presence in the house, always open to friendly conversation and Baifern, the daughter was extremely helpful and efficient, she was able to handle a difficult situation without ever losing her patience and kindness.I would recommend Baifern as a truly special experience
