What I loved about Once in Bangkok is that it is near Khao San Road where there are bars, restaurants. Literally 5 minutes walk. I am not a bar going person,though, but Khao San is actually pretty chill even in the late evenings when everyone's music is blaring altogether. The vibe is fun yet chill. You can eat street food, drink beer, listen to music, eat pad thai, and buy souvenirs. Okay back to Once in Bangkok :-), it is near to Khao San and basically to most of the other tourist spots by tuktuk..Amenities are basic, but it is clean and safe. Of course, just about in any place you go to, you should also be aware of your own stuff and take your own measures. But the hotel is basically safe, with the main entrance having a pin code as they lock it at 9pm. The area, although dotted with similar guesthouses with lots of tourists, is considerably quiet around 9 to 10... Breakfast is basic...coffee and biscuits, but the main reason why you are in Thailand is because of the food outside of your hotel, right? So yeah, I recommend Once in Bangkok and will definitely go back there again! Oh, but be careful when booking as there are rooms with attached bathrooms which are priced a bit more and are limited and some have sharing bathroom options...
