The Myth-Sud Sathorn 

I stayed at "The Myth" in March 2023. I was in Bangkok for a business trip but also spent two weekends exploring the city. The location of the hotel is great: just a few steps from Saphan Taksin BTS station. There's a mall 200m away, ATMs and 7-Elevens, as well coffee shops and street food. I preferred this location to Asok and NaNa where some of my colleagues were staying. The hotel itself is an historic building which has been fully refurbished, with taste and style. The room was large and comfortable and clean, and had a fridge, a/c and wifi. The hotel is really beautiful and historic. Breakfast is served in the courtyard and is wonderful. Plenty, varied and tasty. Most of the greens and fruits are grown in that yard by the owners. If you arrive at any time but the middle of the night, you might think (I did!) that it would be very noisy, because the hotel is right in front of the BTS and car elevated railway/road, but during the night it's way quieter and it didn't bother me at all. If you prefer soulless opulence, try any of the international chains of hotels. But if you like charm and taste, to interact with helpful and passionate local people and ... save a few bucks... give it a try! I often say that I liked a place and would visit again as a compliment only, but here I really mean it! See you on my next trip!
