Mariya Boutique Residence at Suvarnabhumi Airport 

Booking our last night in Bangkok at the Mariya before an early flight the next morning was a great decision. We enjoyed our stay however brief. You need to book your shuttle 24 hours in advance. To meet the shuttle driver at the airport, go to the arrival area between exits 3 and 4 right outside the baggage claim. Make sure you are on the 2nd level. If you do not see a ton of people and drivers with names on placards, you are most likely on level 1 and not there yet. Go up a level. It’s kind of a madhouse, but look for your name on one of the placards. If that fails, ask someone where the Mariya picks up their guests. After a few minutes, someone from the hotel will then take to you to the shuttle. The hotel was lovely, and the decorations were in the northern Thailand style. Our room was quite nice – clean, quiet and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was good, and the bathrobes cozy. One of the bellmen carried our suitcases to the third floor after check-in. We carried them down the next morning. The lounge is an area in the large lobby. There was fruit out when we arrived, but not later that night or early in the morning when we left. As folks have written previously, there is a 7-11 just next door. As you turn left when you exit, there are a good number of restaurants down the street. At check in, we just told the front desk when we wanted to catch the shuttle the next morning. The shuttle leaves for the airport on the hour. It was way more relaxing to stay here than worry about catching a taxi to the airport from downtown. Bangkok’s roads are clogged with traffic during day light and the toll roads to the airport makes the situation much worse. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel the night before. They gave us a 5-star experience and it was a great value.
