This place has a lot of potential for short stay visits. It was our gateway to Bangkok. We planned our trip from the comfort and quiet of our bedroom. It is tucked away down a offbeat alleyway from the main road, which at first seems very unassuming, though if you like cosy and moderate comfort on a budget, then look no further. Wifi access, big room. Try get a room on the second floor, first floor was still ok. It was fairly quiet, except for one night with karaokee at the nightclub out on the main road. I packed ear plugs which helped during my 2 week trip on more than one occasion in Asia. Unfortunately for the resort, no one has offered to translate their menu from Thai/Chinese to English yet, which would make the stay all that much more pleasant of an experience, but you are in a foreign country where the majority are non-English speaking, using your wit helps always and it has a certain appeal of the old ways of Thailand about it. I thought the staff were friendly, a little kindness goes along way in life, try it and you can remember a pleasant holiday, not a bad one.
