Goldenbell Hotel Chiangmai

Fantastic tucked away boutique hotel. Due to unforeseen circumstances we found ourselves in need of a hotel few a couple of nights and I found this using TA. The reviews detailed the hotel and it certainly lived upto the reviews. Due to our requirements we ended up having 3 different rooms, this is nothing to do with the Hotel just because of our plans and the hotel did whatever they could to accommodate our needs including looking after luggage and allowing us a late check out, (very late). The staff were simply fantastic, friendly, helpful and cheerful, what more could you want from hotel staff. The location was also perfect for us, being literally just outside the south wall gate of the city so we could walk to most places and those we couldn't Grabs were easy to come by. The rooms and we saw a few, were all of a very good standard and well maintained and refreshed between guests. There's a breakfast which was fresh and plentiful of many different varieties, Thai and western. There is a small pool which is a little like a long plunge pool with seating around the outside. In the afternoon it's perfect as the sun comes round the building to light up the pool area. It isn't a heated pool so you do have to breath deeply when you enter, but nevertheless a great addition and of the three we've staying in with pools during this trip, it's the only one we've been in.
